Workgroup II: The Curriculum workgroup will review the International Association for the Study of Pain’s (IASP) pharmacy school curricular recommendations, which were previously released in 1992. The group will propose recommendations for the following:
- Model content for integration into curriculum (pharmacology/therapeutics) as a stand-alone elective course;
- Integration of core rotations into Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE); and
- Model content for a stand-alone pain and palliative care APPE elective or selective.
The recommendations from this workgroup will be presented to the IASP for consideration of adoption.
